pillars of health

Your unique wellness program is based on these five principles.

  • I love food. Restrictive diets can sometimes have short-term benefits, but this is about long-term success. Food is a beautiful way to connect with people and shouldn’t leave you feeling deprived.

You’ll have access to meal planning and recipe guides based on my recommendations that are whole-foods based, anti-inflammatory, and most importantly, delicious.

If you don’t like to cook - no worries! I’ll show you some time-saving tips in the kitchen. They are good for you, the planet, and your wallet.

  • Detox isn’t about green juice fasts or skinny teas. It’s about supporting our body’s own detoxification organs, the emunctories: the liver, kidney, gut, lungs, and lymph. Even if you live a clean lifestyle, we live in a toxic world, and we all need to detox!

Detox is especially important for balancing hormones and boosting metabolism. After a thorough detox, people usually have clearer skin, better energy and mood, and feel more vibrant.

  • “All disease starts in the gut.” - Hippocrates, 400 BC.

A properly functioning digestive system is a crucial factor in achieving optimal health and wellness.

This is often where some specialized testing comes in - but it’s not just about finding the results, it’s what we do with this information. Optimizing digestion, fixing imbalances in the gut microbiome, and decreasing inflammation in the gut are all important steps on the path to healing. Gut health is more than just digestion - it’s also involved in our mood (90% of our serotonin is made in the gut!), energy, and immune health (70% of our immune system is in the gut!).

  • Exercise is important but it needs to be unique to you. This isn’t about joining a Crossfit gym or walking on a treadmill just to burn calories, it’s about finding ways you love to move your body and making them a part of your daily routine. Walking, dancing, hiking, playing.

While it’s important to move, it’s equally important to find stillness. I use targeted therapies in my practice that directly support the vagus nerve and the parasympathetic state - where all cellular rejuvenation and repair occur.

  • This is where the program really shines, and why my practice is so different than what you’ve experienced before.

In addition to our regular appointments, we have weekly coaching check-ins, and you have access to directly message me at any time during your program.

I’m here for you every step of the way. Here to answer your questions as they arise, hold you accountable, encourage you, and celebrate your successes.

what program members are saying:

  • "“After having the free discovery meeting with Kat, I felt heard and validated which was, unfortunately, a new experience in my journey. She clearly explained her philosophy on health and outlined the 5 pronged approach to wellness. She created a personalized plan to include testing, which was the most important element to me as I had not found answers from the types of testing/labs I had done previously. She considered my issues to be related, instead of separate which was a main issue from working with my other doctors who failed to collaborate or communicate to address my issues. The changes I felt once we got my labs back and implemented a treatment plan were almost immediate and have been sustained. I am so grateful to her for my health and feeling even better than before."

  • "Kat is absolutely amazing and I have nothing but positive things to say about her. She is always there to support and help. I was fed up with my normal doctor, because I wasn't getting any results just bandaid fixes from my normal provider. We've been working together for just about a month and it is the best choice for my health I have ever made. Before Kat I was unable to lose weight no matter what I ate or how much I worked out. In this month of working with Kat I have lost 12 lbs. I also have been on an inhaler for 6 months before Kat, and I haven't even been needing to use it for the last couple of weeks. I have noticed an improvement in my energy levels, and sleeping better. Thank you so much Kat!!!!"

  • "After having COVID-19 in March 2020, I had some lingering health issues and was trying for months to feel like myself again. Most notably I had some reoccurring GI issues where after almost any meal I ate, my stomach would blow up like a balloon. Kat helped me figure out what was going on through multiple in-depth tests and promptly sent me everything associated with my protocol for improvement. The best part was the nutrition protocols that helped me take the guesswork out of what to eat to avoid the GI aggravation I was experiencing. I felt so supported and like I had all the tools I needed to improve my health. It's so evident Kat has put so much time and energy into truly understanding how to heal others and I'm so glad I don't have to guess or try to figure things out on my own. Since we've been working together, I am feeling a 1000% better and am so excited to see change in a positive direction. Initially I was concerned about the investment, however Kat is so fair and has many options for different financial situations. Having worked together for some time now, I feel the investment is more than worth it for all the support, tests, and supplements included. I can't recommend her personalized and packaged approach more!"

  • If you have HSA/FSA - yes, totally!

For other forms of conventional insurance, it’s not that I don’t accept it, but that it (unfortunately) doesn’t cover what I offer.
